Hello, I am experiencing severe abdominal pain that doesn't seem to go away. It located just to the left and about 4" below my navel, and every once in a while I feel it on my right side--but persistently on my left. It is a burning pain, it hurts very badly and doesnt seem to be relived by much of anything. Also, for the last month I have been noticing bright red blood on my toilet paper off and on , usually in small amounts. I have noticed small changes in my bowell habits, but nothing consistent. A few times they have been thinner than normal, but the next day they will be normal thickness. It does seem that my movements are not happening as easy as they used to be, but I am having a movement usually once per day.

Is this 'burning', pain common with colon cancer? If not, what else could it be?

I appreciate any feedback anyone on here can give me. This is really bothering me. For the record I am 33 and in general pretty healthy.
