Undiagnoised Neurological Disorder with seizures, tremors
Posted: 02-27-08 17:10pm

My son has been sick for 2/0.5 years. He was taken in to hospital on the 28/11/2005 with severe headache and adverision to light and noise. Because their is Rheumatiod arthirits in the family eg my daughter has it and my father had it the doctors placed this label on him. As the weeks went on and the symtoms became increaseingly worse they said it could possibly be due to a virual or bacterial infection, which had left him with servere problems with his balance, ability to walk and to concentrate. He is now having bleeding from his back passage and they say it is either Chrones or ulcericated colitus. But my son is having to many neurological syptoms eg: seizures, tremors, spazams of the whole body, sometimes they can be just set off my by an injection given in Hospital or a blood test taken at out-patients, or at his gp's. We have seen a neurologist who suggested it was either MS or a genetic condition which was rare, but also indicated it could be both. Whislt a medical registry suggested it could be lupus, because of a rash my son gets. Which is purple and red raised in colour. We were told that this was defentley a neurological problem. Here is a list of his full syptoms in the best way he could describe to me:

- Extreme nauesa
- Chronic pain all over his body
- Severe headaches
- Back passage bleeding
- Tremors
- Spazms
- When he is in a really bad patch adversion to light
- Rash
- Vision will become affected sometimes blurred.
- Eyes will go blood shot without a cause
- Seizures
- He complains that sometimes in his line of sight are 'black spots'
- Sometimes severe ringing in the ears
- Stomach Pains
- Affected Co-ordination
- Affected Balance
- Bad Memory
- Pins And Needles
- Chronic Fatigue
- Cramping
- Coldness in finger tips
- General weakness in body strength
- Burning over joints and musles
- Shots of lighting down legs, arms, back, neck.
- Lack of concentration
- Back is very weak
- Head is always heavy on his head
- Twitches
- Jerks In Movement
- Can't have anyone touch him without tremors happening or at worst seizures.

There are a few nore which i find it hard to explain in written form.

He already suffers from:

- Asthma
- Missing clotting factor 7
- Was born with a true knot
- He was blue and not breathing when born.

He is currently 17, is there any advice you can give to us? We live in the Republic Of Ireland.

Thank - You

- Mother (Gerri)
