A few months ago I noticed blood in the toilet after a bowel movement. The amount was enough to scare me so I went to see the doctor. He said I had a very large hemorrhoid but he did not see it bleeding in the office. He gave me some suppositories and also some antibiotics for an infection. I finished the treatment and did not notice any blood in my stool at all for weeks. Recently I am bleeding again when I have a bowel movement and I feel like I have to go all day but I don't. I also have gerd so I am assuming the constant feeling of having to defecate is related to that, I was just wondering if this sounds like an internal hemorrhoid? I would rather not spend the money and waste a gastro doc's time getting scoped for just a hemorrhoid. Thanks.

i have the same problem, i was diagnose of internal hemmoroid and i have been bleeding every now and then...ive been concerned because my bowel movement has been increased...

If you see any blood in your bowel movement itself then have this checked out...When a hemorrhoid is active it will bleed...Just be sure that it is not in your stool...Take care...

You need to go see a collerectal surgeon. If you haven't had a colonoscopy before it ios reccommended that you have one just to make sure that it is only hemorrhoids.

I also had a hemorrhoid or hemorrhoides that bled went to doc and he confirmed it with exam.done a bit of thinking about what i was eating and found that chillies were the problem .i stopped eating chillies on my salad bleeding stopped .took chillies again just to prove my point and had bleeding ,never took chillies or any thing with them in it again, thats two years ago never had bleeding since.thats a fact.
