Q: bad allergies and dark circles under eyes

my 11 year old son has allergies bad he had surgery last may for recurrent throat and ear infections from the allergies. he had tonsils out adnoids out and nasal tissue removal and reconstruction. I am happy to say he has not had anymore infections but he has to take allergy shots and singulair i am not a big medicine person i do not know what to do he gets headaches i took him back to the allergist she said normal i cannot get the blackness under his eyes gone i have tried nasal wash and he is not getting any better last week he had an allergic reaction to ice cream never had one before please if anyone has a child who has allergy problems and can help me i would really appreciate it i am at a loss and feel like i am not doing the right thing for my son but the allergist says that i am!

For how long he is suffering from allergies?
The most common cause of dark cycles under eyes is nasal congestion, because when someones nose is congested, veins that usually drain from eyes into nose become widened (dilated) and darker, and the most common cause of nasal congestions are allergies.
Why he had nasal tissue removal?

bad allergies/dark circles

get his blood tested. perhaps he is deficient in iron or another necessary nutrient. I love my allergist, but don't they get paid every time we visit them?? I am not saying your son doesn't need an allergist, just saying perhaps headaches and dark circles could be a nutritional issue.
