Reason for heavy bleeding during sex? (Page 1)

hi there, i just wanted to let you know that the same thing happened to me .. today actually, i was quite nervous however, i put a black towel between my legs and decided to look something up online .. after figuring out that the same thing happened to you, i'm less nervous about the whole thing .. see what happened with me was, i was pleasuring myself with a new toy that i recently bought and it was the second time i used it .. i was feeling fine and then all of a sudden, i took one of my hands up for a second and it was covered in blood .. i had felt something hurt for a second because the toy slid out and i had pushed it back in but it hit around my clitoris area first and it kind of hurt .. the next thing i know, i'm in the bathroom on the toilet and i'm bleeding a mile a minute .. i was very scared and just like you said, the blood was redder than my period and i already got my period last week .. the same thing probably happened to us, i'm just not sure what .. but i think it might have had something to do with maybe cutting or tearing some part of your vagina .. just know that you're not going through this alone .. if anyone has any advice for either of us, it woud be much appreciated

Ahhh, that's relieving. So strange that someone else has had that happen too. But so far no one has been able to help me. I'm sort of wondering when my next period is going to be here, what it will be like or what?? It's strange though because I didn't have any pain like something got torn! Hmm.. Still waiting for help! someone??

When i 1st started bleeding durin sex etc i got a scan. I have PCOS also. They were looking for polups and things like that. this can causew bleeding as they get torn etc but you may not nessisairily feel it. Luckily i didnt have that. My wombe lineing is on the outsid and they say it ciuld be that. ive got to go back to the doctor and ask them to explain as im not sure what they mean. Ill let you know if i find out. Maybe ask for a scan>?

Sorry, but what is PCOS? I'm completely oblivious to this kind of thing.

my boyriend was fingering me and we didnt notice anything until i was done and he looked at his fingers and they were covered in blood. i was freaking out. the blood was heavy and also redder than usual. it stopped fast so i blew it off but a week later the same thing happened. im kind of scared i hope its not anything serious.

The same this happened to me, exactly as you say the blood was much redder than a period and didn't have the same smell (crude!). Me and my boyfriend were both completely covered in blood and the bed sheets were saturated in parts. I'm very nervous as this is not the first time I have slept with him, it wasn't anymore violent and like you say there was no pain like it was tearing. I'm going to the doctors this afternoon and will update if i find an answer.

the same thing happened to me. i was having intercourse with my boyfriend and saw that i was bleeding really heavily. it was everywhere. it doesnt hurt and the bleeding stopped right when the intercourse did so im sure its not my period. although i should be expecting my period soon. what should i do?

This exact same thing happened to me. It was a ton of blood, bright red, and wasn't my period. I had to throw my sheets and mattress pad away there was so much blood. It was just running down my legs and I had light bleeding for a couple days after. I didn't have any pain or anything, in fact we didn't even notice until we were done. It's happened a couple times over the past couple years. I went to my regular doctor for an exam and he didn't see anything out of the ordinary, so he referred me to a radiology lab for a pelvic ultrasound. I will post the results when I find out. So glad I'm not the only one... it was so embarrassing!

I too seem to be in the same boat. My experience happened just recently on Thursday Feb 4 with this guy I have just started to see months earlier. Around 10 minutes of some deep riding (which was not the first time I had ever done this) He noticed some red. When I got off the blanket was soaked with rich red blood. I didn't understand and still don't. There was no pain, no warning, I felt no different then I always feel. Plus I had had my period 10 days earlier. I went into the bathroom and everytime I wiped would be more blood, it was almost if I had gotten cut, but knew I was not. I was so embarassed, I proceeded to dress and walk home. The next morning I called and the doctor took a pap results pending. I think that it is important for me to mention that in late Dec I noticed a lump on my right groin that seemed to be getting really big and noticeable (looked like the collarbone on a thin person) and admitted myself to ER. Coincidentally the lump appeared around 3 days after we had protected sex with minutes of unprotected sex questions. I wondered if the condom had come off the last couple thrusts, because it was inside me when I got home. At the hospital ER they gave me 3 Xrays, cat scan and ultrasound, and sent me home with no answer yet not life threatening. Then I went to the Sex Health and got ALL the tests done and they all came back perfect. I went again to Xray dept and got an internal ultrasound and a full stomach untrasound. My doctor has sent me to the lab for 7 vials of blood and a urinalysis to be done just last week. Now this pap I just got on Monday has been the last thing done. I have also had a breathing test and a monitor hooked up to my chest and ankles. My blood pressure and pulse are always normal. EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS NORMAL!!! Oh yeah and the lump went down. But I know that there is something wrong. It has never happened before and I hope it never happens again. It scares tme to even think of having sex again.

this happened to me yesterday and really freaked me and my partner out! we were having sex for maybe half an hour and he just popped to the loo, when he came back he was covered in blood. i went to have a look and i was too. nothing hurt at all and the sex wasnt particularly rough.it stopped overnight but all the blood looked like a massacre. i'm really scared to have sex again, and i'm way too embarrassed to see him again. What could cause it?

oh my god exact same thing happened to me couple days ago..there was like wayy too much blood runing down my legs! we both freaked out. and coming here and seeing other people have had it too i feel better :S
i swear..i am scared to have sex again :S this was the 4th time we did it..i didnt expect any bleeding well because i aint a virgin rite :s i hope its nothing serious

The same thing has happened to me three times with my new boyfriend. Its happened once before with another guy. Its not that I'm on my period, but when we have sex sometimes I start bleeding. Its never a TON, not what some of you have described. But its noticable and I certainly owe him a new pair of sheets. Glad to see I'm not the only one, but some answers would be nice. I'm going to the dr. next week!

This same thing has happened twice in a row now. The first time it happened it wasnt that heavy. then we did it again 2 days later and there was more blood. Not a ton like other people described it but i did get some on my sheets. I dont think it is my period because i had gotten off of it a few days earlier. I took one of those plan b pills a few days before my period came so then my period came late. I wonder if that plan b had anything to do with it? its so wierd and makes no sense.

Well I just went to see my doctor for the results of all those tests and for hopefully an answer to my problem and again there is nothing wrong they could see. I am perfectly healthy, just that I should drink less. How is that for mystery????

it's happened to me twice. like someone else said,i only noticed because i was so wet, and bled all over everything. i mean dripping all over the floor. then, a few minutes after we stopped it stopped & didn't happen again until the next time we had sex... ruined a mattress.

The same thing happened to me last night. It was heavy bleeding that stopped after intercourse and there is no blood today but it was scary and crazy. I'm glad I'm not alone, gonna call the doc.

I would like to say I had the same problem, and it was beside it very painful in some moments. It happened to me 4 months ago with my boyfriend, when I looked down everything was in blood, but when we stopped intercourse it wasn''t painful anymore, but still bleeding very hard. The bleeding didn''t stop for 3 4 days, it was light. After that I got monhtly as expected. The doctor was just called by the mother of my boyfriend, and the doctor said it could be an early monthly, or if needed, that I should go to the doctors on check up. I refused to go to doctors, I prefered to wait for bleeding to stop. It wasn''t painful, but still bleeding, and it is very scary.
So I got my monthly, ans it passed, and I had sex with my boyfriend again, and again I got bleeding, even worse, huge, but this time we decided not to say anything about it, just wait for it to pass.
I have read what some women said, they took them to different kinds of tests, and doctors said nothing.

Im on the pill, Cerazette & ive not had a peroid for just over 3 months. but a few days ago i had a period quite a heavy one & then i stopped. i was having sex a few days after my period and during having sex i was bleading quite heavily. i didnt feel anything. but it stopped after a day or 2 then me and my boyfriend had sex agen and i bled agen quite heavily but it stopped after a few hours. can anyone help me ? x

*This also happened to me,I have Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which means my period is basically absent every month and the walls of my ovaries are covered in cysts as i result I rarely bleed,that is why I was in shock to see so much blood...randomly!we didn't try anything different or have rougher sex so I know it can't be that.It was very embarrassing to go through because i had no explanation or warning!my boyfriend and I have been together for the last 2 years and this has never happened before, the blood was very red and afterward i felt weak nauseated and pale which made me want to take a pregnancy test??I have doctor appointments lined up this week so hopefully i will be able to come back with answer that will help anyone who is still concerned about their experience .I also noticed that when i wiped... blood clots were there so that concerned me the most.If anyone has any answers or recommendations for women with P.C.O.S please contact me!thank you for time and I apologize for my grammar mistakes i typed this very quickly.*
