Have anyone feel this way before?

This afternoon I went to a goldsmith shop and bought two of my close friend a 'friendship' ring each, since both of them are going back soon (they are expatriate). After that before we went to the goldsmith shop next door to look for a particular branded watch. I asked the goldsmith how much he said $4K, then what about the other one about the same price he said, from his tone of voice he doesn't sounds like I am able to afford the watch. My friend and I look at each other and walked away. I told her that I can get the same watch for a much lower price and since he doesn't want the 'business' I shall take it somewhere else. Yesterday the same thing happened to me when I wanted to get two tv set for my children's room, some of the saleperson are quite reluctant to serve me. I ever heard of the same thing happened to a well known celebrity who went to a boutique in a posh place. I was just wondering is it because of my skin colour or is it because of something else, believe me I am not trying to start a racial 'fight' but I trying to find WHY am I being treated that way? Have anyone ever had the same experience? Am my money not good enought to shop there? Sorry if I hurt anyone's feeling but I am only trying to get opinion.

it's because those ppl judge the way you look and they are snotty. been there done that don't sweat it. that's what this world is coming to a bunch or either billionairs or to poor to afford their next meal. i hate it. but seriously don't even think about it they can't actually rufuse to help you in their store or you can i think actually sue them..... but not a 100% sure of that.

hay i just saw this and thought id add to it.
the other day i was walking around Glasgow shopping for the nameless sexless Bump i have.
i was there with john and he had just finnished work so he was wairing rigger boots and overalls where the arms were tied around his waist with a henley Tshirt on.
its all old clothes he waires but as i went into Baby V.I.P's to find a nice baby outfit they looked at me pushing the buggie with scott in it and having a laugh with john they were so arigent and dissmisive. like i couldnt aford anything out of that shop!

i was mad! so i just told them that i'll just order everything out of Cradle days in Ashington. My uncle Owns it and everything in it is sooooooo expencive. after that the just wait oh wait mam!

F*ck off lol i just walked away. imagine that

i also want to add that he put this in my surgical file--i could sue him for discrimination and not treating a patient that he very well could have helped. It was all about himself. he spent and hour telling us how good he is and how he wrote a book(i looked it up--he wrote only the forward--go figure) and spent only about 5 min on me. he also said i was very negative--well can you blame me?I wasnt being negative though--i was trying to filter out in my head what was an egotistical speech by someone that i really didnt want treating me in the longrun(knew that in about 5 min) and what was somting that i had to pay attention to lol

You've done the right thing (in my opinion) I don't think I am able to do that - no guts! You are so brave hun, I wish I could be like you or Tmddyan.
