This afternoon I went to a goldsmith shop and bought two of my close friend a 'friendship' ring each, since both of them are going back soon (they are expatriate). After that before we went to the goldsmith shop next door to look for a particular branded watch. I asked the goldsmith how much he said $4K, then what about the other one about the same price he said, from his tone of voice he doesn't sounds like I am able to afford the watch. My friend and I look at each other and walked away. I told her that I can get the same watch for a much lower price and since he doesn't want the 'business' I shall take it somewhere else. Yesterday the same thing happened to me when I wanted to get two tv set for my children's room, some of the saleperson are quite reluctant to serve me. I ever heard of the same thing happened to a well known celebrity who went to a boutique in a posh place. I was just wondering is it because of my skin colour or is it because of something else, believe me I am not trying to start a racial 'fight' but I trying to find WHY am I being treated that way? Have anyone ever had the same experience? Am my money not good enought to shop there? Sorry if I hurt anyone's feeling but I am only trying to get opinion.
