i know someone with rp macular degeneration, he cannot see unless he strains his pherifral vision, over the last year he has had what can be described as a white magnesium flash that start near his cnjunctiva then circles his eye, explodes and goes away, it happens more if he is doing something strenuous and he cannot stop it by closing his eyes
