Q: which htp to believe ?

Ok so I have been sexualy active with my husband quite often since he came home from a deployment. I am late on my period by 3 weeks and went and got a home pregnancy test, the first one came up negitive and then still not having my period i took two more and both of them came up positive. I am not sure which one I should believe I mean is there such thing as a false positive when I am not on birth control or taking any meds and followed the directions correctly? Confused

i called a friend of mine who is a registered nurse and she told me that if im not on birth control and not on any medication that it it more an accurate positive then false due to when i tested the first time some thing about not having enough HCG levels to be detected or something?

yea..although tests look for HCG
some will only say positive if there is
a certain amount...even if you are preg or not..

If it was a cheapy test then it is likely to detect larger than normal (what may already be in your body) amounts of HCG than the ones that say you can take only a couple of days after conception. I would say it is a positive! But get a blood test to make sure

How long did you wait after you got a negitive to take the other two tests? All of my tests showed up positive the further along I got the more they showed up. I would have to say there are more false negitives than positives.

Yes. These cramps are usually normal. If you start having any bleeding though you'll need to contact your doctor. I had cramps throughout my entire pergnancy.

Yep I had some the first couple months with my daughter. My mother in law says she had cramps while pregnant with my husband the whole pregnancy. Like said above if you start spotting or bleeding go in ASAP. And if the pain is getting to be to much go in and talk to your dr. They will tell you ways to help the discomfort. Continue to take care of yourself!!

I was told to take Tylenol for the cramps and headaches but that doesn't seem to be working. They also told me a hotbath but then told me that if it was to hot you could hurt the baby. I am starting to think being pregnant is going to be very complicated
