Q: Shorty Good Luck on your IUI

I just wanted to say good luck on your IUI next week.

I dont remember you saying when it was going to be, but I hope that you are successful with it the first go round.

I had a question about a procedure that I cant remember if you had. My sil and I were talking last night about the fact if my tubes were blocked or not. And I was telling her that sometimes when they inject the die that sometimes it unblocks them. Did you have that done? And if you did, or even if you didn't, what doctor did that. Do you think that it is something that my regular gyno can do?

Thanks Star. The IUI is scheduled for tomorrow. I'm pretty excited. The sonogram yesterday showed four mature follicles. The doctor said that they like to see two to four follicles, so it's looking good so far.

I did have an HSG. I got it done by my fertility clinic. It requires an xray, so your gyno can do it if the practice has the equipment. More likely, your gyno would write a referral. The procedure is more painful that I was expecting.

Well, we did it. It very slightly painful, an order of magnitude less than the HSG.

The literature they gave me said that I could experience some cramping afterward, either from my uteris reacting to additional liquid or from ovulation. Well, I think I definitely had ovulation pain yesterday a few hours after the IUI. It was very localized to the right side and my right ovary apparently had three mature follicles.

My temp was well into my normal post-o temps this morning, so I take it as a sign that I could have released more than one egg. Smile

Well, I started progesterone this morning. That combined with the HCG shot means that I am likely to have delayed menses with a huge risk of a false positive on an HPT. So, the clinic recommends coming in on 17 dpo for a beta test. That makes this one very long two week wait.

Where are you in your cycle?

Ho Hum...

this is the longest tww ever! I'm getting some localized cramps and some back and hip soarness, but everything else is normal for this part of my cycle. I can't wait for Monday. My dh is so cute. He thinks we are going to have twins - a boy and a girl and he already has pet names for them. He says, "you aren't getting cramps, that's just Junior kicking you" or "this is probably the best you're going to feel for a long time."

what else is going on?

Hey girl,

So Im in my 2ww and blah blah blah

I O'ed late in my cycle late this month. Last month I had a super short cycle only 23 days. This month I kept feeling what I thought was ovulation cramps, but every time I checked my temp in the morning, it was still low. But this morning, it finally jumped, so I figured I o'ed yesterday. Im not really keeping track of my temps, I was just trying to see if I had o'ed or not.

I am going to see if I can get on clomid next month.

Good luck with the clomid. Did you discuss it with your doctor?

af hasn't started yet, but it could be the progesterone. Monday is the day of truth.
