Yes there is hope.

I wouild highly recommend that you seek out the best neurologist/spinal surgeon that you can find in your area. Talk to others and find out which spine doctor they have high regard for, and also find out which ones they did not like. If you live in an area where there is a professional sports team, call up their office and ask which spine doctor they use for their players.

Then make an appointment with the doctor at the top of your list.

How bad is your scoliosis, and how old are you, Some doctors think scoliosis doesnt cause pain despite just about everyone with scoliosis developing some pain eventually, it is possible to have it treated depending on how bad it is and how young you were when it started.

I did...months ago when i found out that i have scoliosis but not that bad.. actually.. 5 degrees...thorasic spine...based on my x-ray...

I am a player since my primary years till college....volleyball to be exact....

Tnx anyway...maybe being in front of the computer makes me real in trouble.. the whole day sitting while encoding you know....

Good luck with that! I am 35 and cant work, walk , stand, or lie down. I feel like I would be better off dead with NO PAIN!! I am seing Pain Management this Thursday and MAYBE they can help me. I HOPE!! That is ALL that I have is a small bit of HOPE!!

I dont know what happened, I have always had back pain but it would go away, this time it didnt! I have a MASSIVE ruptured disk and "many degenerating disks", so it is still going to get worse apparently. My life CHANGED kast Friday, in a BIG way! My family is shunning me and my girlfriend is withdrawing from me, I feel like I am losing her and if that happens, I will just lose it COMPLETELY!! I dont know what to do anymore. I am at a loss!! I mean nothing I do is right apparently! I mean, I am just at a loss for words. I CANNOT live like this!! Suicide has been a constant in my thoughts over the past 2 weeks and the past 2 days feel like weeks gone by! I am having to leave my home and move in with my grandmother at 35 years old. I am about to lose my car, I have lost my job and cant get another due to my condition. I mean the only other thing that could go wrong is if the one woman that I have ever TRULY AND WHOLY LOVED leaves me. Man, I REALLY hope that doesnt happen but I am so scared that it will!! I have a little bit of hope, but not much and that seems to be fading away slowly!

Flip if your curves are only 5 degrees there is probably no way surgeons would operate to correct this unless they find something else wrong with you. After having done the sensible thing of being checked out by specialists i would suggest a good chiropractor if you have not tried one already.

i will tell you short story of mine..my mother died after i graduted highschool i am 18 years old then...dont know what to do...i became a mother to my brothers and sister actually i have 4 bros and 1 sis..i never finished college so i had to work anything so i could earn money..my father is totally irresponsible all he had to do is drink and drink to whole day..since my mother died until now..hayyyyyyy.....to tell you what??? i am telling you that no matter how hard this life would be....dont ever think to end your life coz i've tried that before but ends up regreting...i am here now typing this simple advice of mine to you hope u will listen...right now even my backs killing me...still doing whatever i have to do..coz my sister is not yet finish on her studies she's the only one that i am still breathing right now...its pretty clear to me that even i lose my life in the near future i am happy to tell that i've prolonged someone's life to live and that is my loveone dearests sister...
