So after a week of feeling yucky and coughing up phlegm, I finally went to the doctor...and as it turns out, I have bronchitis Rolling Eyes So I am on antibiotics and bronchodilators Sad I went to a friend's wedding today and it was so embarrassing coughing during it. I can't wait to start feeling better. I am not a big fan of medicines and try to avoid them usually, but the doctor said it could turn into pheumonia if I don't treat it and if I'm not breathing neither can the baby...so I am doing my treatments as directed every 4 hours.

Oh, and by the way, I'm 24 weeks pregnant yes

Bronchitis is a type of bacterial infection I believe so she would need antibiotics to make it go away.

They say that Luke will be on antibiotics if he ever gets bronchitis.

i believe not because when my son was in the hosptial the specialist told me there is no anti biotic for brocitis itself. Once it developed into pneumonia then they adminstered anti biotics... so little confused here...

Here's a link for a site about it. Some doctors don't use them. I doubt I will ever take antibiotics for Bronchitis again if I can help it.

I am allergic to most antibiotics so I'm on azithromycin. I don't like antibiotics at all but he obviously thought it was necessary Rolling Eyes I don't know if it's because I have asthma, because it's my 3rd week with the cough, because I'm pregnant, or what. Before he walked out the door he said, "This should help clear it up even if it is pneumonia"... So I guess he was trying to prevent it from getting worse.
