Yes, your plan makes sense. There's
nothing else I can advise you on.

Reports & biopsy... Posted: 03-26-08 00:00am
Hi Eiri,
My GF tells me that she got herself
checked by means of PAP test & that
her reports were negative. I requested her
a copy of the report so that I can show it
to my doctor & see what he has to say.
Because if the condition spreads only by
skin contact, I do not see how I could
have got it & not her. I am
considering the biopsy but I am really
bothered about it. Do you have any idea
about it? Does it leave scars & will
the scars be visible after 1 year? I do
not have my family with me & I have to
manage this all by myself. I do not
understand at all, how this can happen. I
am really worried about the outcome of the
biopsy & it's visible trace after the
biopsy. What exactly happens in a biopsy
anyways? Will there be a risk of infection
because of that?
Please throw some light on this issue.
Thank you.

You could have got it because if you read
the site and sources, this condition
sometimes spontaneously appears!! You can
"get" it without being in contact with a
person who has it.
I do not know if the biopsy leaves a scar,
I do not think it will and if it does it
will be very small. You DO have one friend
and one "family": YOUR GIRLFRIEND. Stop
thinking of her as the enemy!! She is
there for you like you are supposed to be
there for her. You two are supposed to
SUPPORT each other in times of need!
These questions about the biopsy are all
things you need to ask your doctor. He
knows best. I have never had a biopsy
taken.
1. What happens at a biopsy is that the
doctor cuts off a little part of the
affected skin. I do not know how or what
tools are used or what anesthetic is
applied. You will not be asleep. They will
probably use either an injection or a
cream to numb the area.
2. Yes, of course there is a risk of
infection. Any time the skin is broken
there is a risk of infection. A paper-cut
can become infected! However, if you do
exactly what your doctor tells you to do,
it will be fine.

Biopsy result... Posted: 04-28-08 12:49pm
Hi,
I finally got the biopsy done. Here is an
extract from the report:
Lichenoid dermatitis consistent with
lichen planus.
No evidence of malignancy identified.
