I had an abortion last month. When my menstrual cycle was due the next month, i could just see spottings. Is it normal? From when would i have regular periods? Looking forward for a genuine reply.

Yes, that is normal.

Some women have a normal first period after an abortion, but then some women may only have a 'spotty' period after an abortion.

Taking birth control pills also makes your periods lighter, so if you are on BC pills that also explains the spottiness.

I had an abortion 5 weeks ago and went straight back on thr contraception pill the same day as the medical abortion. The abortion bleeding seemed to stop then my period began, i have been bleeding for 2 weeks now, so effectively I have been bleeding for 5 weeks.. is this normal? Im so sick of bleeding, the pain has now gone, last 4 days no painkillers yay! Bur still bleeding, I would welcome some advice as trying to get through to anyone medical is almost impossible!
