I'm on loestrin 24 and have been since about August, I would think by now my cycles would be getting regulated but they are not! I have always had heavy periods and with this pill which is supposed to make your period 4 days or less its like my body is trying to squeeze it all down into a few days but just can't do it. I usually start my period on the 2 day of my sugar pill or whatever and then have a three day period until I start the new pack. Once I start the new pack it stops until about the second/third week and then I start spotting again (usually during the night and it goes on until I take my pill at 10:30 in the morning and then that continutes until I start the new pack).

So that is hell in itself. But on the three days of my actual period its SO bad. I seriously change tampons like every two hours and I always wear a pad too just in case. I also am having cramps which I used to not get. And ok tmi but I pass pretty large clots like maybe the size of a quarter or slightly bigger..is that normal?!? Maybe it is, I dunno..before I was on birth controls my periods were not like this at all. I don't know if I should get a new birht control or just stick it out a little longer?

I'd talk to my doc if I were you. Maybe Loestrin 24 isn't the right choice for you. That doesn't sound good, and if it's worse then when you didn't use BC, then what's the point?
