can burning sensations down the spine and shoulder blade be associated with acid reflux

Acid refulx is usually associated with a burning sensation behind the sternum (heartburn). It doesn't seem likely you are experiencing acid reflux from the symptoms you describe. You might consider consulting your family physician for other causes to your discomfort.
