abdominal pain after gallbladder removal and ulcer Posted: 02-22-08 11:08am
I am speaking of behalf of my fiancee who
has been through quite a medical journey
for the past 18 months. Here is a brief
list of what she has gone through.
-Feb06-Jun06 abdominal pain in center to
right side.
-july06-Gull bladder taken out
-april 07 pain comes back again.
she goes to see her first gastro doctor,
and an endoscopy shows ulcer.
-July07 pain still there, we visit a
different gastro doctor at John Hopkins in
Baltimore, MD. another endoscopy
performed, ulcer gone. but... she still
has the abdominal pain.
-Jan07 we visit our 3rd gastro doctor, and
he seems to think there is a problem with
her bile duct.
-feb07 the doctor performed a procedure on
her bile duct. I dont know exactly what he
did, other than he went down her throat
with a camera.
Now here we are after 3 doctors, 2
surgerys, many, many tests she still has
the pain, and since her recent surgery 2
weeks ago, the pain has gotten worse. She
states pain medication in pill form does
not touch it. We took her back to the
hospital this past monday due to the pain
being so bad. She was vommitting green. It
seems like none of the doctors we have
seen want to help her, or know what might
be going on. They just keep sending her
home, "oh you will be ok, just take pain
killers."
This has been a very very tough experiance
for her, both of us. We cannot live our
daily lives like normal adults. She does
not go anywhere, she goes to work in tears
most days. If anybody out there may know
an answer, or someone who does, please let
us know. My fiancee is only 22 years old.
Shes way to young to be going through
this.
