I have just recently been looking into cancer and only know very little about it except the basics: cancer cells are cells that are continuing to grow and divided while other cells stay normal. At least that is my understanding of it. If this is true, is it possible to create a technology, lets say for example, a small robot that you can inject into your blood stream which is programmed to scan cells and then destroy cancer cells or potential cancer cells? Then lets say you mass produced these very tiny robots so that there would be more scanning and quicker destroying? Its just a thought.

I'm not sure, but I wish it were true, and I wish it would have been around about 2 years ago. My grandmother discovered that she had cancer in october of 2003 (lung cancer) she deteriated the whole time dramatically. And only 11 mo after discovering this monster, she died from it. I miss her terribly. Sad

miss ya grams, you will be in my heart forever! Rest in peace princess!

Cancer cure question
Nano tech is an amazing thing, but I don't think it's that good yet...

exactly. its nice that you have a theory, but its the development that's going to take a while. I'm sure there is a scientist or group out there working on something along this lines, but it takes a while,
first they'd have to figure out a way to identify a cancer cell or 'potentianlly' cancerous cell. then they would have to make that work with a small little nano tech robot. then probably develop some way of distroying the cells that does not harm the body too much. and then again, figure out how to put that technology into a small little nano tech robot.
it would be a long process
