Hi everyone. lately i feel crappy, or lonel, ugly etc. Sad i feel undeserving of friends and love, acceptance. i've had this issue for awhile now. i see a counselor hopefully she can help. i usually become depressed after looking on Facebook.com and seeing my old classmates from high schools' pages and how they were all friends. i had my own group but its like i still become angry because somehow i feel they're much happier and confidetn than i am and their lives are more fulfilled. i begin hating them. does anyone have and thoughts and/or advice? Shocked

You never can really know what's behind a face. Just remember that. People talk about "judging" others when they say not to try to figure out why someone did something that was questionable. But the same applies to how we look at others. Everyone has their own problems and issues that can make them feel bad behind the picture perfect smile and profile that you might see on facebook.

The only way you are going to deserve friends is to make yourself a happy person and available to other people. You don't know for sure that the other people that were your classmates are all doing better than you are....but it is up to you to realize that you don't have to be the way you are and if you really want to, you can be happy.

And don't compare yourself to other people. That's never the way to go. Every single person is different and has their own special qualities and purpose in the world. Trying to be like other people is what is going to drag you down. Be who you are and be happy about it....and people will be drawn to you for that and think that you are amazing, because quite frankly you are, especially when you are brave enough to love who you are and not be afraid of the acceptance scale.

contrary to popular belief confidence and happiness isn't a good sign, especially in this situation. You probably just have more experience, intelligence, perhaps even wisdom.

I agree
I totally agree wiht mominashoe............I would say stop going to this website. It only makes you feel sad and upset. Instead, find something positive about yourself. What is it you want in life and what is it you do that make YOU happy. You can't depend on anyone else to make you happy. Once you figure out what this is, you will see the world with a different set of eyes. God does not make junk. I am most certain there is something spectacular about you. Beauty comes from within....why is it you feel ugly....and like mominashoe says.....STOP COMPARING YOURSELF.....you are unique and one of a kind.....There are thousands of people on this earth....make a new set of freinds who will appreciate you for the person you are............I don't even know you.....but i know your words and I see a beautiful person.............Hugs!
