I need to know...if I took two motrin pills (200mg of ibuprofen each), would I be ok to drink 5 or so beers around 10 hours after taking them? I don't know how long it takes to not have an effect on each other after taking the pills.

Please respond if you have an answer, as I need to know soon. Thanks.

Yeah I think it would be ok. One dose of Ibuprofen can last up to 8 hours, and then you would take the next dose then, so I'm sure 10 hours keeps you clear of any dangerous mixes.

Check with your doctor
Drug interactions are a little bit more complicated than simply the dosing times recommended on a box. Drugs have "half lives" and this is the amount of time that half the drug is metabolized. Perhaps half the drug is gone after 4 hours than another half in another 4 hours...this would mean 25% is still in the body.

That''s a good question for a doctor or your pharmacist. That probably won''t do any serious damage once or twice, but it may not be a good pattern to follow. It merits additional discussion with a professional.
