2 UTIs, ovarian cysts, and maybe an STD Posted: 02-20-08 16:30pm
Every time I feel something is wrong, I go
to the doctor... even though I don't have
health insurance...
What brings me here?
In October of 2007 I supposedly contracted
my first Urinary Tract Infection, I was
prescribed Bactin... less than a month
later, the same symptoms came around
again... which then I was treated
Levaquin.
Then everything seemed fine for a couple
months until about 2 weeks ago I developed
a serious pain during sex that dibilitated
me. I went to the hospital, with no tests
done what-so-ever... I was told that I had
ovarian cysts.
The following week I was at the OBGYN for
my first pap smear. Right away he could
tell that there was some sort of infection
present... I have yet to get my test
results back, but I was given Doxycyclin
(which is treated for Chlamydia) and
Metronidazole (which is treated for
Trichomoniasis). Not to mention yesterday
when acquiring a antibiotic for my
significant other at a completely
different facility, they didn't even test
him... then told me that men could not
contract Trichomoniasis... which I have
read different.
As of right now, I'm experiencing the
apparent symptoms of yet another, urinary
tract infection.
Now what I would like to know is....
Is it possible that I'm getting slammed
with all these things at the same time, or
could it be deeper? Everywhere I've been
has said something different, and I want
to know the truth. I want real tests done,
real doctors who know what they're talking
about, and real answers. I'm starting to
be scared that I may have Pelvic
Inflammatory Disease or something...
