This somtimes happens to me, my sinus gets so bad that my ear get clogged (read up on it and its due to the swelling and trapped fluid) I usually give it two weeks for my body to do the work and if not ill head to the doctor...

My main question is though....
Because of the swelling and fluid getting trapped do you think ibuprofen which decreases swelling help with my clogged ear?
Its the most annoying thing in the world to me, i can hear myself breath, can hear whenever my foot hits the ground (its like an amplifier) etc etc etc etc Confused

Does anyone have any suggestions for inner ear problems due to sinus (or even possible an inner ear inffection) for the time being?

Thank you!

I guess you have nasal congestion, too. And, stuffed nose always leads to stuffed ears.
If the swelling of sinus membrane remains for too long, a worse infection can develop. It may also spread to the ears, resulting in an ear infection.
Do you have blocked or full sensation in the ear?
Are you experiencing an itching sensation or pain in your ear?

This was posted a while ago, but for people still suffering from this, my doctor prescribed an over-the-counter allergy medication and decongestant (you can get both in Claritin-D, the Target generic, or any allergy med with pseudoephedrine).

I didn't even know I had allergies until they blocked my ears completely and left me with an inner ear infection and vertigo. The allergy meds cleared it up, and meclazine (sp) took care of the dizziness.

I also recently tried regular saline spray in my nose, and it actually helped, too.
