Q: are holes in back eczema or STDs ?

My cousin's roommate says she has exema (sp), but she has holes in her back. She says that they look like holes that could be made from a bbgun. What I'm wondering is: Is this normal for exema (sp) or could this be something to do possibly with STDs? We really want to know because I work in a daycare and I don't want to get anything or spread anything. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

That does not sound like eczema to me. If is on her back it is probably not associated with an STD. Do not touch her skin or bedding or clothes. Wash your hands frequently and you should be ok.

I can't see how this is related to an STD or eczema and is also doesn't sound like it is something that she can spread; aka, it doesn't sound like a disease. Thus, I wouldn't freak out about washing her clothing and bedding and whatnot. That's a very germophobic reaction and I think it's completely unnecessary.

She just needs to go to a dermatologist and have him or her look at the "holes".
