Hernia Complicates Sexuality
Posted: 02-19-08 13:46pm

So about six months ago I notice what feels like a hernia...a subtle aching and almost invisible inflammation on the right side of my crotch. Like 50,000 other Americans, I don't have health insurance to get a proper examination but based on my research, it appears to either be (1) a sports hernia, (2) prostate cancer, or (3) a tumor.

Are any of the above conditions known to increase estrogen levels and or decrease testosterone in men?

I was almost positive that I had a hernia until my sexual appetite expanded which I am very uncomfortable with.

I'm 25, I've had absolutely no interest in men my entire life. Yet I noticed that since my groin condition, my mid-section has become stimulated by thoughts of the same sex. Logically speaking and without denial, I am not attracted to men. In general, I find men to be sexually repulsive. But frequently when I'm alone now, a foriegn wave of hormones comes over me, stimulates my mid-section, and now I have a completely different sexuality? Can someone explain this?

My guess is high estrogen levels from one of the above conditions. Please advise.

YOu really need to get checked out, especially if you're worried about cancer or a tumor. Yikes!! There has to be a clinic somewhere around you, many planned parenthood locations offer men's sexual health services as well for free or reduced price.
