What is your GLBT Pride parade like? Do you have one or do you have GLBT week or GLBT day where you are from?
When I lived in San Francisco it was amazing! Gay Pride was a month, parades and festivals and street fairs and the entire city celebrates! They have gay flags on ever street and flying from City Hall...just inspirational! The big parade was miles long and went on for hours... voices ...you couldn't help but feel the love and the pride even if you were straight! Also Gay Pride in New Orleans is amazingly fun and Dallas and Houston have huge parades..I rode on many a float in Houston and it still makes me smile just thinking about all the fun and love and support from the community there. What a party! yes cartwheel headstand

I've been to the Gay Pride Parades in Toronto and Ottawa. Toronto's is generally enormous (Toronto has a very, very large Gay community and the parade has become quite the huge tourist attraction).

Ottawa's is a bit more key as the community is a bit small. I generally don't participate... I have my issues with Gay Pride (not that I'm not proud, I just choose to be proud in other ways), but being a supporting spectator is definitely a hoot!

Since I am new to the area I am in, I have yet to see what the Gay Pride scene is like.

There is a shop about 15 minutes away that specializes in gay literature, media, and all sorts of stuff (yes, including toys Laughing ).

The town I'm referencing is Northampton, MA, which is known as the "Lesbian Capital of Massachusetts"... and is actually populated by alot of gay men as well.

I live two towns over, and spend quite some time in Noho (short for Northampton).

And don't worry, I am not an avid toy user Laughing

Awwww, you are sweet! Your man is hopefully grateful to have a man like yourself in his life.

Hopefully I will still get to see mine tomorrow (I'm home sick!! Sad ).

I too used to live in San Francisco, and the gay pride parade was sooo awesome, it made me tear up! I know live in Kansas and being right in the bigoted bible belt that is ruled by the satan (Fred Phelps), the pride parade this year was so small and minimal it almost didn't count. Crying or Very sad

Ani_stasia...it may have seemed like it almost didn't count but believe me..it counts BIG time to a gay kid with no outlet or hope in the land of Fred Phelps...its a huge thing...keep it up! yes
We have a LOT in common, you and I...we both moved from San Fransisco to a tinny little red neck hill billy town and we both fight for GLBT rights... 2thumbs I miss San Fransisco Gay Pride myself...unbelievable...huge....gigantic.. .thousands upon thousands of people....awe inspiring...yep. It rocks...but you in your small town and me in my small town can still make a difference... respect

True that! And you're right, though it wasn't big, there were a lot of young kids/teenagers there, who usually feel the oppression that felt the love!
