Q: Sex Is a Pain!! Help!

I have been having sex with my boyfriend for about 5 months now...But we only see each other on the weekends. I have been on the pill for about 4 months also. It seems that everytime we do it, it hurts the first few times and it never really feels good. A few times in the past it was better, but recently it's just a pain, and since i'm not enjoying it, he doesn't either. It is true that we don't get to see each other all week so i'm not used to doing it all the time, but could it be something else? I feel bad...He tries so hard to please me, we spend a good long time beforehand fooling around, we've tried toys and other stuff, different positions, and I always want to...But it either hurts or just feels annoying. He isn't super big, and neither he nor I have stds. I am not that experienced, but I would think by now I would get the hang of it. I am never too dry or anything either. He thinks maybe I am not focusing or concentrating enough, I think it could be the pill, or maybe I am just really really hard to satisfy. I need some help. If anyone has some help or advice or can relate to this situation please let me know. Thanks!

Could be an infection.. You don't need to 'get' it from someone to get an infection either, maybe go talk to your doctor and get checked out.

You could have a tipped uterus (or tilted something like that) lots of women have it and it causes pain with intercourse. But you said you already tried different positions, and that is what the doctor would tell you to do.
As far as you not concentrating enough or trying hard enough that is just silly. You should not have to concentrate.
Like cherry said, go get tested for an infection and ask the doctor then what it could be.
Sorry I could not help more.

As far as std's are you certain he's been checked for std's? (quick test is to ask him how he dealt with the cotton swab - to test men for std's they have to stick a swab up a penis, and men get so wonky about it... I can't imagine how they'd deal with the "duck lips").

And not to startle you or anything, but there are a few conditions that could cause pain during sex one is called vulvodynia - vulvodynia webpage for more info and the condition can vary alot. Another condition that could cause it is endometriosis.

Now of course the pain you have doesn't necessarily mean you've got either of the above conditions, but maybe the information on those pages can help rule out or rule in what's going on with you. If the pain persists, definately see a doctor. There is a slight chance it may have to do with the pill you're on, and how it's affected your hormones, too.

Otherwisse since you said you're wet enough and have foreplay enough, i'd guess you'd have those bases covered, though it couldn't hurt to buy some lube and use ample amounts of it and see if that helps.
