i had a catheter ablation procedure done on feb 6, 2008 in mexico city (for 1/5th the cost in usa!) at the heart institute there. now, 12 days later i have begun exercising again. im a 51 year old very fit endurance athlete. ive wear a polar heart rate watch and am keeping my beats/minute only around 120, going easy, bicycling. i feel fine but am worried perhaps my addiction to exercise, and resuming so soon after the ablation mite make the flutter come back or cause some problem. my doctor did not say NOT to exercise. could training mess up my successful ablation? i plan to gradually increase my exercise bpm each week until im back to hammering the pedals. help?
