burning and rawness in penis

I have a question. My boyfriend told me that he has a pain in his penis. He says it feels a little raw. When he takes his boxers off he tells me it gets stuck to it. What can he have wrong down there??in other words what can the cause of it be??im kinda worried bc he tells me it burns a little
