Q: Inner ear high pitched sounds
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 18th, 2008
I'm getting this wired sensation in my head I would sometimes feel this sensation in the morning hours, but not always. Sometimes I noticeid it when exiting the SUV and not in the morning. It would occur maybe 6 times a year, maybe 20. But I just got sick with this flu
last Tuesday and as of Friday night it is continuous. This is the first time I've been sick and have experienced it. The symtoms are hard to explain but here goes. It's like a pinging sensation, high pitched. If I move my eyes, it pings with each movement. Kind of like tinnitus but stops when I stop moving. Like a bright, high pitched burst of sound with each movement but without the light. Even now when lying in bed, if I roll over, ping ping ping ping ........It's been this why for about 4-5 years.
I've talked to 2 primary doctors about this, both look at me like deer infront of head lights.

Neurological Disorders Answer A3739
According to the symptoms you report - a pinging sound in the ears - you could be experiencing an inner ear disorder. You can consult an ENT-specialist immediately about this problem for a precise diagnosis and treatment alternatives.
