I thought I would share the story of how I got pregnant. This is to be informative and none of it can be changed since it is the past and I am 23 weeks pregnant now.

My boyfriend and I were having sex for months and very often unprotected. I was carefully watching when I ovulated and would not go without a condom during the days when I knew I was fertile. The 6 days leading up to ovulation and the day after, Every cycle during these 7 months was 27-29 days.

Note: ALL 7 months I could pinpoint the day I ovulated(CD 13-15) based on side cramps and the discharge I was experiencing and did not have one pregnancy scare.

The month I conceived, I did not know when I ovulated...no signs...no clue...Back in August, I started my period on the 21st(CD 27) which became CD 1 for my new cycle. Since that period starting on August 21st, I have not had ANY bleeding what-so-ever. On CD 31(September 20) of that cycle, thinking "I must've already ovulated this month and will start my period anytime" I let him ejaculate in me. Then again on CD 32(September 21, conception date).

Around this time I became concerned that my period was late and began testing with HPTs. All were negative. No signs of pregnancy. No pms symptoms. I continued to test when my period still didn't show up. But stopped testing and went to the doctor on CD 44. Negative urine test at doctor, but because I was having an unusually long cycle, I was sent for bloodwork.

It wasn't until CD 47 that I got a positive HPT, then the doctor confirmed with the blood test results. I was sent for an ultrasound and measured 7.5 weeks compared to the 10 weeks they thought I was based on my period.

So, for the women trying to conceive, there's hope that you may be pregnant even after many BFNs and for the girls hoping they are not, don't count on it!
