My period this cycle started extremely light. Is it correct protocol to take your first birth control pill at the first sign of blood if your periods begin with light spotting? I took the first pill of my pack about eight hours after my first spotting began (Blood is being secreted). Do I have anything to worry about as far as protection for this month goes?
