Okay, My girlfriend has been on the pill for months now and im just wondering after her period and starting a new pack how long does it take for the pill to be effective again? Can we have unprotected sex the day she starts her pill back up or does it take a couple days?

She is completely effective during the week of her period too. She is 99% protected 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is no time when she isn't protected as long as she is taking the pill on time every day as prescribed.
