Unexplainable heavy bleeding after surgery Posted: 02-17-08 17:59pm
I had my lap assisted vaginal hysterectomy
for fibroids, adenomyosis and
endometriosis on 1/4/08. The doctor
removed my tubes, cervix and appendix
also. I had some spotting up until
1/19/08. On 1/20/08, I had a major bleed
and contacted the doctor and he said that
it was normal. Here I am 6 weeks + and
still bleeding. At times the blood is
actually pouring out of me filling the
bowl with clots and all. I went back to
the doctor twice and he applied silver
nitrate. However that has not helped and
the doctor is stumped as to why I am
bleeding. I am totally upset over his non
challant attitude over this. He tells me
to go for a CT scan and come back in 3
weeks. WHAT?? I am anemic and all of the
bleeding just isn't helping. Although I am
still bleeding at times very bad, he
cleared me to return to work on Wednesday
before we get any results or anything.
Does anyone have any advice or experienced
a similar situation with the constant
bleeding?
