Q: How long do I wait to test for pregnancy ?

I've stopped my birth control pills accidentally.
My birth control made it so my period was the last three days of the month.
I stopped it the week before January ended, and haven't refilled it yet.
That's about...3 weeks give or take.

I'm experiencing a lot of discomfort in my lower abdomen, back, and pelvic region.

Should I wait until the end of the month (When I usually got my period) to test for pregnancy?

Thank you.

Did you miss your period in Jan? If so then yes test. If not you can test or wait until you miss your Feb one. Are you trying to get pregnant? If not you better start BC again ASAP.

No I'm not trying to.
I have to wait until the first of next month (march) to refill my prescription of birth control.
I did have my January period.

I would use condoms until you can start the pill. But in the mean time you kinda just have to wait to see if your period is late on February.

I have also heard that you dont really have to wait for your 1st day of your period to start the pill. I think you can start it right away. Then in 1 week you will be protected. I am not sure though cause it depends on what kind of birth control you are taking. I was on Necon 777. I would do some research and see if you even have to wait. Good luck

note-please research 1st...cause I am not sure about other types of birth control.
