Q: Will Plan B show in a blood test ?

Hello All,
I took the first dose of plan b this morning after having my boyfriends condom malfunction and will take the second dose tonight. On Tuesday I am going with one of my parents to get a bloodtest because I believe that I am intolerant to wheat gluten.

Do you think that the blood test will show that I took Plan B? I'd rather not have my parents find out about this...

No it will not show up.

LEGALLY, you can get PLAN B and REGULAR birth control pills without parental consent or permission. They cannot stop you, as a matter of fact.

They're looking to see if you're intolerant to wheat gluten. They're not testing for Plan-B, which to my knowledge wouldn't be there by then anyway.

Everyone else is right. You don't have much to worry about; they aren't looking for Plan B, so it won't show up.

Birth control usage and bloodtesting
I almost have the same situation, but I'm having my bloodtest before having plastic surgery done. would that be any different?

No, it will not show up through blood testing.

They are not testing you for drugs in any way, they are testing you to ensure that you are healthy enough for surgery Smile

birth control pill, blood and urine testing
Hello,
I was wondering if an insurance blood testing and urine testing would detect my birth control AND plan b that I took this morning?

When blood or urine tests are done, there are specific things that are looked for in those tests. They are probably not going to be looking for those types of hormones in your blood (which is all birth control and Plan B is), and they won't be looking for it in your urine. They're probably looking for high cholesterol, high blood glucose, abnormal thyroid levels, glucose in urine, protein in urine, or other basic stuff that has nothing to do with birth control or plan b. Don't worry. If they are running a pregnancy test, it will only be positive if you're actually pregnant. Good luck!
