My 14 yr old daughter has been told by Kaiser that the behavior described below has NO MEDICAL CONSEQUENCES. When she reaches a self-imposed daily caloric intake, and wants to "taste something else", she will chew, hold the food just above the esophagus to spit out later. My gut feeling is that this is not a healthy practice. She is adamant that she has no eating disorder and Kaiser has basically substantiated her belief. HELP!

Sorry, but can you explain to me what 'Kaiser' is?
