So i have a family doctor now, i got one on Thursday, and hes a very nice guy my fiance and i really like him, he talked to me about when i got pregnant how they estimate the due date by the last period and 14 days of ovuation, he said hes going to be the pedatrition as well and help us find an OB but will be doing my physicals and ultrasounds and check-ups for as long as possible, and then weighted and measured how tall i am, and said everything looks good so far and then before we left we got to hear the baby's heart beat!
At first i heard mine and i got excited but he said no lol thats not it, and then he moved it a little lower and there it was! my little baby's heart was beating away! My fiance shed a tear and i was so estatic and a little teary too, it was the most amazing thing ever!
In a couple weeks i go back for a check-up and then we book our ultrasound screening!

That is great news, I'm happy for you.

I never heard of a doctor who is a family doctor and a children's doctor. That's neat.

My Sister goes to a doctor like that...he doesnt do OB-GYN but he does see both adults and children. It's kinda weird cuz im so used to seeing pediatricians and family doctors different but he is really nice...so im sure its easier on my sister having all of them be able to see the same doc.

My first thought was that it would be creepy to be so young that your doctor was a child doctor, and then you have a child who then also has that same child doctor, two children going to the doctor's together, but they are also mother and daughter (or son), lol!
