Bipolar is difficult to diagnose as an illness ... but bipolar symptoms are usually accompanied by extreme changes. What are the symptoms of bipolar disorder?...
One week ago I left my boyfriend because he was verbally abusing me and last saturday hit me so I would shut up! (I'm 5months pregnant) At the time we were living with his mother in a small house with his 5sisters and 2 dogs.

If anything I was depressed. THey would say things to him because I went to my fathers house everyday to cook and eat because there was never any food at their home. Also, my boyfriend came home from work everyday and yelled at me, called me a !**@! in front of his friends, and never took the time to see how sad I was living in that house! I was a junior at a prestigious university... I gave that up for him... so we could form a family together.

He tells me i'm going crazy and need to get help for being bipolar. I understand that that illness is characterized by extreme mood swings... well so is pregnancy! I am very upset because I think he is the one who needs to be treated for bipolar. His father is bipolar and I have seen some of the same traits in my ex as well.

I am shocked that both he and his mother say I need to be evaluated. Also when he spoke to my family he told them he never hit me. Good thing I took pictures....

Wow, nice guy! Run, don't walk, and get away from this creep. He is abusive and this will not change. You deserve better. Yes, pregnancy causes mood swings. It is an emotional time. You don't need the stress of being in that house. Take care of you and your baby. Best of luck!

I agree!
Get the heck of of Dodge now! Before you loose that unborn child. Because it can happen. My X Brother in law threw my sister down a whole flight of stairs when she was 6 months pregnant. She use to go to work with sun glasses so her black eyes would not show. He beat her something terrible. You don't not to be in that situation. I have no respect for ANY man that would lay a hand on a woman.
