Six pounds! That is excellent.

Cut down on the salt with the borderline high b/p. But it really sounds like you are doing great!

Thanks for the advice. My mom and I were brainstorming, trying to remember what I could be doing differently.

Along with reducing your salt, sometimes eating smaller meals closer together can lower you blood pressure (though, I'm not sure why) So could exercise (like a 20 min walk a day)

I'm glad everything else went well!

Is it pronounced Rain-a?

She is actually named after her grandmother. My mil passed away years ago so we knew that if we ever had a girl that would be her name. the only difference is the spelling. Her name was spelled Reina and we spell my daughters Raina. It really is a different and unique name.

How did you come up with it?

Um...ok, you asked for it lol. My ex/her daddy wanted to name her something like Blair and I was totally opposed to it. So I started brainstorming and I remembered the date I conceived her: It was a Friday night(Sept 21st). I was hanging out at his restaurant where he worked like I always did and it started pouring rain! So we drove to the baseball diamond nearby and parked...Anyway...we ended up doing it on the hood of the car in the rain! So I searched for "rain" names and found "Reyna." I suggested it to him and he loved it. He also liked it because it means "queen" in Spanish and his family is from Cuba.

I love the name! That'll be an interesting story to tell someone when they asked you how you came up with it later on. Smile
