My advice to all you young headache
sufferers: keep trying to get help.
Insist on being heard. Persist in telling
the docs that your symptoms are ruining
your life. Head pain and other head
symptoms are a medical jungle, and many
docs are lost in that tangled mess.
Head pain, pressure, dizziness,
grogginess, burning, muddled thought,
allergies, and muscle tension have ruled
my life for over a half century. My
condition is still undiagnosed, and I'm
still trying to get real help.
Eventually you will be too tired and
beaten down to fight it. Alcohol and
illegal drugs are tempting. And try to
get help for anxiety & depression while
all of this is going on.

I lived on Darvocet for years, till it
stopped working. Booze stopped working,
too, and I quit that 10 years ago. I
didn't respond to migraine meds years ago,
but recently I started Depakote and
amitriptylline. They seem to help a
little. After 30 years of allergy shots,
I stopped them to see what would happen,
and I got worse, so I'm going back on
them. I also take Neurontin. For pain,
right now I have Ultram, which I take with
prescription-strength ibuprofen.
Living with constant pain can easily lead
to anxiety & depression. Makes you a
tad pessimistic, too.
