You already knew that, though, based on your little scare you had a few months ago. Are you trying to conceive?

Are you saying that you were pregnant even though you got your period, or that you got pregnant during the month AFTER you got your period, before the next period (the one you missed)?

Yeah that kind of sounds odd to me. I was wondering if maybe you were pregnant for longer than you thought and maybe it was implantation bleeding....because it's impossible to have sex and get pregnant 2 days before your period. The hormone levels aren't right to conceive at all at that time.

I'm not saying your a liar or anything, I'm just confused.

during the month after i got it. but what im saying is that even though she got it, she said she had sex and 2 days later she got her period it doesnt necessicarly mean shes not pregnant she could be still.

You're right about the hormone levels, but it is even more basic than that. There is no egg to be fertilized any longer at that point in a cycle.

An egg lives 12-24 hours after leaving the ovary

If an egg is not fertilized, it disintegrates and is absorbed into the uterine lining

im saying i had a period, which was lighter than my usual ones, and it lasted 6 days instead of 7 then 14 days later i ovulated and the next month i never got a period. i tested and was found to be pregnant. and now ive got a family doctor and he said im between 11-14weeks pregnant, but she could not be pregnant if its a period like her normal ones but mine was lighter and then i was pregnant.

I still don't get it. What is the significance of a 6 day period vs. a 7 day period, and you being 11 to 14 weeks pregnant?

krystine are you saying that you didnt have sex after your period? because if you did then it was THAT time that you got pregnant from not the time before your period

op im 98% sure your not pregnant, you should have ovulated WAY before you had sex

You are not pregnant. The entire uterine lining shed when you have your period. The egg was in that lining. How could you be pregnant if the entire lining and egg got flushed out of your body in your period?

Actually, you ovulate 14 days prior to your NEXT period. So the 14 days after your period will only apply if you have the 'perfect' 28 day cycle that a very lot of women (especially teens) do not have.

Unless you know your real ovulation (from temping and charting - not from online calculators because those are just a 'generalization' that I could make looking at the calendar) - you don't know when you do or would have ovulated.

That said, in a perfect environment, sperm can live for up to 5 days. If you had sex after your period, even briefly, that would be the most likely time of conception. Sperm are not super heroes. If you are actively having a period (and not just spotting!), it is really unlikely you would get pregnant during your menses.

The period that you got 2 days after you had sex, was that period on time, like when you expected to get it?
