so i finished my period last week, but ive been spotting because i also just started nuvaring. ive been having to use panty liners because of the spotting, which i normally dont do.
but since around the time my period ended my vagina has been really itchy. it wasnt too totally bad untill a couple of days ago. its super uncomfortable, and almost sore because it itches so bad. Mad
i dont think ive had any white discharge, but its hard to tell because of the spotting. it also smells different than usual. idk its weird... the only way i can describe it is as almost a tiny bit sweet-ish. its strange. Embarassed
i used some vagisil that my mom had, and she told me to "air it out" so im wearing loose pjs with no panties.
do you think this sounds like a yeast infection?
could it maybe have anything to do with the nuvaring??
thanks! Very Happy

I only used the nuva ring for a month (I was having major troubles with bc!) so anyways... I ended up getting my first yeast infection after having the ring in for about a week. I don't know either if it was due to the ring or not. After that I stopped using bc all together for about 2 months but still had problems with the infection coming back. I think it was never really completely gone. I should have gotten a RX from my DR. But I continued using over the counter creams. I found miconazole worked best for me and I started eating yogert every other day. Now I'm infection free!

Yes it does sound like the symtoms I had. I would either try and over the counter cream or go see your dr. They can give you something like Diflucan and may have you use the cream depending on how bad and what kind of yeast infection you have. Good luck I know it sucks! Hope this helped you.
