trying to get pregnant....

The morning after having sex my wife will take a shower and she always wash's her vagina with a rag and plenty of soap. When I say washes she puts one foot on the seat in the shower and takes the soapy rag and gets inbetween the vaginal sides/opening(lips) very well. I was wondering if since soap will kill sperm if it could work its way in her vagina and into her uterus and kill the sperm that is heading for the egg? We have been trying for along time to get pregnant and have seen specialists and looked at every thing. Then the other day I thought of this (the way she clean down there). Because she is an extreamly clean person and I do like that but maybe she is trying to keep to clean and causing problems.

I don't think you need to worry. If you have had sex the sperm is probably already well on it's way and can't be damaged. If she was trying douche, then you might need to worry. I think you mean that she just wipes herself with a soapy cloth as she would when using the restroom. There's nothing wrong with that.

However if she was trying to shove her soapy cloth into the vagina itself, she shouldn't.....it's not healthy. The vagina and uterus are naturally self-cleansing, so it's never necessary to introduce a soapy and possibly bacteria-loaded rag in there.
