pregnant radiation from exray Posted: 02-13-08 16:45pm
I took my 3 year old daughter to go get a
exray cause she swolled a penny. I didn't
know I was pregnant and I was in the room
when she got her exray, I am guessing I
was 2 weeks pregnant. I just found out I
am pregnant, my question is what will that
do to my unborn baby, and will there be an
side effects?

You'll be fine. Many women get xrays
themselves while pregnant, including
several women on this forum. I'm sure
there isn't anything to worry about at all
because of being in the room while your
daughter was xrayed.

If you were in the room, they should have
covered you with a lead apron. That
should have protected your baby so you
shouldn't worry too much...you weren't the
person being x-rayed.
