Q: when to take pill

okay this is my 1st time taking birth control i started my period last thursday so 3 days ago will be the sunday after my period started..but i didnt start taking them. To day is the last day of my period...is it save to start taking them today?? why do doctors say take them on sunday...is it something to do with being actually on your period?

no they tell you sunday so you can keep better track and dont miss pills. if you read the instructions that came with your BC it should have ones for first day pill starting.
