Q: Swollen Tonsils went down quickly

This may sound like a silly question, but I was told by my doctor I have bad tonsillitis and I started taking antibiotics and painkillers today.

The swelling seems to have gone down a lot from this morning, but I wasn't expecting it to happen this fast because it is quite bad (the doctor has put me on 2000mg of penicillin a day for 6 days).

Will they swell again overnight, or is it normal for the swelling to reduce quite quickly?
