Q: pill for heavy periods that won't cause acne or depression

I see my gyn again tomorrow about a new try to stop my very heavy periods. I need something that will do that, but will not cause acne or depression. I have read that high estrogen and low progestin pills are good at preventing acne/depression. Are they good for controlling periods?>

What about ortho tricylen and ortho-cyclen?
