Q: Sharp pains in my skull and headache

For about 7 days now I have had this headache that will last for at least 5 hours or so a day. Sometimes I get this shooting pain in my head, usually at the back of my skull that starts from the center of my head and goes left or center to the right. This has never happened to me before. I have an identical twin who randomly complained to me the other day of having the same shooting pains in the exact same spot as me, though she did not have a headache. What could be causing this? We are both big worriers and have been under a lot of stress lately, could this be contributing to this problem? I am 24 years old, and never had any other health issues before.

Yes, I do believe that stress can exacerbate symptoms of headaches. Maybe try an exercise that required deep breathing to both oxygenate your system and relax your mind!

Chiari Malformation Type 1
Hi my names Elle and I think I know whats wrong with you.
I think you have a rare disease called Chiari Malformation. I could be wrong!
Chiari Malformation is when the back of the skull were your cerebellum is too small and is squeezing the cerebellum. If you have CM1 symptoms don't usually show up till childhood or even when your an adult. The symptoms are headaches in the back of the head. and a very sharp pain also. There are many more like balance problems and dizziness and other things. but anyways I hope this helped. You should probably go see a doctor. i mean you might just have migraines lol. hopefully. I have CM1 by the way haha.
