You can approach your doctor and ask for him/her to fill out the necessary forms for disability. This will make your chances of getting disability better. I have not personally been through the process so this info is second hand. Try it. It can not hurt. All the best.

disability
I am on disability but I am getting it for my Mental Health. I can tell you that everyone that I have talked to say that it is a long drawn out process, I can vouch for that. Most people do not get granted disability on their first try. It takes a few trys and appeals. You will have to go to doctors assigned by the state and paid for by the state and fill out paperwork and get paperwork from doctors, etc. I did ALL of that and I still only get $600 a month and I have major back problems as well as mental health problems. Try and get the money but dont expect alot and that way if you do get alot it will be a nice surprise. Get ready for tons of paperwork and doctors visits, appointments set by the state, and phone interviews. The doctors are "interviewing" you as well. Just tell the truth and the same story so there are NO CONTRADICTIONS! GOOD LUCK!!
