Q: Valentine's Plans?

What are your Valentine's Day plans? Going to share them with a significant other or have a pampering evening to yourself?

For me, it's my husband's birthday, too, so we went out last Saturday. On Valentine's Day I'm making a special meal of mushroom salad, osso bucco and hot lovin' brownies.

After supper I'll give him his gifts. They aren't much. In fact his dinner is part of his Valentine's gift from me.

Last Saturday he gave me roses and a box of white chocolates because he couldn't wait until Valentine's Day. Wink

I gave my hubby a really cute card that related to how precious sex is going to be after the baby....he loved it

he gave me a whole bag of green M&M's....cause of my lack of a sex drive...too cute!

we might go out to dinner if we have the money but we most likely wont. So we will probably stay in that night and just be together. I actually like the small things he does for me rather that the gifts and roses....but my fantasy is to buy two great big bows to wrap myself in. He can have me for dessert....lol

anyone know where to get big bows?

WalMart had them at Christmas. Maybe Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

The little things in life are truly the most important. If you have the mansion and lose it, you still have the shelter of your hubby's arms. If you have money and lose it, you have the treasure of your love. That's what matters. I tell my husband I'd gladly live in a cardboard box with him.

After baby gets here don't forget to find time (somewhere) in your busy schedule to be a wife and not just Mom. It's hard, but the results last forever.

that is such a great tip! I will keep that in mind. I would hate to feel neglected. And with the baby that will probably be all I am thinking about. But thanks for those words of wisdom. i wont forget them.... Wink

Thanks. I forgot the pasta with parmesan cream sauce. I love to cook and usually just make "dump it in the crockpot and run" recipes so it's nice to go all out. Do you cook?

I have a gift bag full of chocolates, a stuffed animal golden retreiver(her favorite), a froggy picture frame with us in it, a book I made full of the things I've written for her, a word find full of special words to us, and I am working on a ABC book full of pictures of us that describe the sweet word that the letter represents. And we are going to red lobster for dinner... as soon as the work bell rings

Wow! Impressive! Very thoughtful, too. Those are the best kinds of gifts, she'll know you put your heart and soul into them.

Well I really didn't had anything big for my husband, just a nice card and a box of russel stover chocolates but since my husband give me this morning such an impressive valentine gift I decided the dinner was going to be on me. He gave me a white gold bracelet full of pink saphires in different shades of pink. Oh my this bracelet is something else!!

i gave
I gave my girlfriend a note. that said

"I" then it said go to the kitchen and there was another note that said
"Love" and it also read go to bedroom
and then on the bed was a blindfold and next to it, it said put it on.

THEN

I come out and give her a kiss and said "You" and presented her with a bunch of roses and chocolates.

I got bored and devised the plan Smile

Sounds like you all are a bunch of creative and thoughtful people. I bet your efforts were well rewarded since the best gifts are given out of love like these were.

Wish I could see your bracelet, Nightangel73. I bet you were shocked! It must look beautiful on you.

My dinner went well except for the brownies. I don't normally follow recipes and this is one time I did. At least my husband liked his birthday gifts.

Where they dark chocolates? Wink (those are the best ones!)

April I agree with you on the creativity. I think particulary the young are definetly very creative.
