Places to take your child/ren!

We just got back from the park and I just wondered how often you all take your child/ren to those types of fun places....such as the park, library, swimming pool, indoor play area, and anywhere else you might regularly take them?

erm we haven't taken william out to those places for a long time because the weather has been too awful recenty, but now the weather is getting better william will probably go swimming once a week with his godfather and i'll probably take him to the park every thursday like i used to. i take him to the young mums, where he can play with other children every monday and sometimes they offer outings, like to the farm, etc

I wish we had some indoor play areas around here! Last summer we didn't get to take Kaylee any of those kind of places because we were so busy working on the cabin. Other than when we went on vacation in August, she was in the swimming pool then quite a bit with me. We have a little playground right at the end of our road so this summer we plan on taking her there quite a bit!

We go to normal places like Target, the grocery store, to her grandparents' house, etc. But to her, everything is an adventure! It's fun to get out and see things. Sometimes we go to the park or the boardwalk (where the water is), or we'll take her to the lake. She has fair skin like me though so I try not to keep her in the sun very long.

Oh yeah, & we go to different stores quite a bit too but Kaylee's starting to turn into a monster in stores so I try to make our shopping trips pretty quick now.

Laughing really? Do you put her in the little seat in the front of the basket or does she run around? Sometimes Alyvia freaks out when we try to put her in the basket because she wants to explore, but thankfully that's not often!

I also like taking her to the library, but I've let her loose in there one time too many and now she wants down every time we go! Shocked

william goes to his nannys a few days a week aswell. sometimes we go meet my sister from work at the creche and he plays there for about five/ten minutes before she finishes. we go shopping and he sits in the trolley and helps pick out what he wants. when we go to the galleria (a shopping centre where i work) i drop the buggy off at my work, then he can walk around the shops with mummy

we rarely go anywhere, especially since the weather is gross right now. once the snow is gone and after esme is born, i plan on regularly taking them to the playground about a mile away. eventually i'm going to start taking finn to storytime at the library, but i know he wouldn't sit nice for that right now.

also, we have 2 vehicles but the other is a truck and i'm not putting finn in that. it gets terrible gas mileage and nick works 45 minutes away so he mainly takes the car, but he'll leave it for me if i ask him to.

i know when the kids are older i'll want to get them out and about a lot more, but right now there aren't a lot of places to go with a toddler (that don't cost money).

I can't even imagine taking Kaylee to the library Shocked , but I would love to go sometime to get myself a few books.

She'll sit in the cart but after about 10 minutes she'll start reaching for everything on the shelves, then eventually she'll try turning herself around & just want out. She'll have a fit if I don't either carry her or let her walk, but if I let her walk, she's ALL over the place. Then of course there are people giving me dirty looks because my daughter is going up & down every single isle! I have her harness but she pulls me all over the store so much when she's wearing that she has me sweating like I've just ran a marathon Laughing
